Corrective roof and roof-window repairs

A leaking slate roof with extensive earlier patching was stripped back, correctly weatherproofed and reinstated around two roof windows.

Fixing recurring leaks properly

Fox Roofing is often called to investigate water ingress that has continued after earlier repair attempts. On this Loughrea Town job, the roof showed widespread surface patching around the slates and two roof windows.

The roof covering was carefully opened up so the underlying condition and vulnerable junctions could be assessed. A new breathable roofing underlay was installed, the roof-window surrounds were properly detailed and the slate covering was reinstated to provide a clean, weather-resistant finish.

  • Recurring leak and earlier patching assessed
  • Existing slates carefully removed
  • New breathable roofing underlay installed
  • Roof-window surrounds and junctions weatherproofed
  • Slate covering reinstated and finished

Problems with Velux or other roof windows?

Leaks around a skylight or roof window can come from the surrounding flashing, underlay, slate work or another roof detail. John works with Velux and other roof-window brands and will assess the source before recommending the repair.
