Adding daylight through the roof
The original attic roof space had no roof windows. Two openings were carefully formed and framed between the roof timbers before the new Velux units were installed.
The windows were integrated with the roof covering and weatherproofing system. Internally, the new openings bring daylight into what had been a dark roof space. The photographs show the attic before installation and one of the two completed windows from inside.
